What to ...
IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHS BUT ALSO ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE!What to expect
During your session our studio is yours and yours alone. Sessions are by appointment only, there are no queues and you have plenty of time.
We promise to make your session relaxed, informal and fun - there's certainly no need to be nervous! You tell us what you hope to achieve and we work with you towards realising your goal.
A shoot can last up to an hour with around a hundred photographs being taken. We will then select the best of these from which you will make your final selection.
What to wear
We can't make this decision for you but we can offer advice.
It's important to think about what you would like to see in the final image and to wear something you feel comfortable in.
Choose classic cuts for traditional images and fashion statements for contemporary ones.
Choose bright colours for vibrant images and pastel shades for romantic ones.
Textured fabrics work well - furs, arans, leather.
Family groups tend to look best 'co-ordinated'. Jeans and colour co-ordinated T shirts are a sure winner for family group shots.
Thin stripes, shiny materials, strong patterns and clashing colours are usually best avoided although rules are there to be broken.
You are, of course, welcome to bring along several outfits if you wish to do so.
Ultimately the choice is yours!
What to bring
We capture a wide range of images using only simple props. We encourage you to bring in your own items which can make photographs more personal and meaningful.
If you're bringing your children along, let them express themselves! If they have a hobby - football, cricket, dancing, tennis, ice skating, skateboarding etc - bring along their kit and accessories. If they are musical, bring along their instrument - flutes, saxaphones, guitars, violins etc all welcome.
Man's best friend
We love anything on four legs and we have a lot of patience! So don't worry if your mutt isn't the most well behaved in the neighbourhood, we will get a result.
As for props for those with four legs, your imagination is the limit!
We do ask that no food or drink is brought into the studio. Experience has taught us that clothes and props are easily soiled.
